On Friends

I have a friend that lets me "think aloud." He has heard me through many stages in my existence. He had listened to me after too much pain, too much wine, and very often - too little thought. He has listened even when I have been insulting, ignorant and immature.

He has challenged me to grow, to think, to speak, and to be silent.

Almost unbelievably, paradoxically, and counter-intuitively...he made me the gift of this Blog for my 50th birthday. "deantalks" indeed!
